WEST CHESTER, Pa.- The 15
th-ranked West Chester University women's soccer team (7-1-1, 5-1-1) is set to return to action at home on Saturday against Bloomsburg (7-3-0, 5-3-0) beginning at 2:30 p.m. The Golden Rams have designated Saturday's game as Alumni Day, and the game will be the second game of a doubleheader on Rockwell Field as the Golden Ram men host Gannon on Senior Day beginning at 12 p.m.

Five Things to Know
- West Chester returns to action on Saturday following an important 3-1 win over Shepherd on Rockwell Field on Wednesday afternoon. West Chester got out to an early 2-0 lead as Kaylee Nagle (Toms River, N.J./Toms River North) and Jordan Nguyen (Lancaster, Pa./Manheim Central) scored in the first 29 minutes before Lauren Reimold (Chester Springs, Pa./Downingtown East) added an important insurance goal just over a minute into the second half to help the Golden Rams cruise to the 3-1 win. Grace Keen (Lincoln University, Pa./Avon Grove) made six saves in the win to slow the potent Ram offense.
- With her goal against Shepherd on Wednesday, which was her second game-winning goal of the season, Nguyen has scored four of the last five games and leads the team in scoring with six goals and one assist for 13 points. Kianna Barber (Browns Mills, N.J./BCIT) was credited with an assist on all three Golden Ram goals on Wednesday afternoon and is second on the team in scoring with two goals and five assists for nine points. In goal, Keen is 7-1-1 with a 0.51 goals-against average and 21 saves with a hand in four shutouts. Keen has two solo shutouts to her credit, including a shutout victory over Bloomsburg this season and a pair of combined shutouts after exiting in the second half against Lackawanna and Mansfield.
- Bloomsburg (7-3-0, 5-3-0) enters play on Saturday on a six-match winning streak, including a 2-0 win at home on Wednesday afternoon against East Stroudsburg after also picking up wins over Seton Hill (2-0), Lackawanna (5-0), Kutztown (2-1), Mansfield (4-1), and Shippensburg (3-2). Against ESU on Wednesday, Kelsey Beatie gave Bloomsburg a 1-0 halftime lead as she found the back of the net in the 40th minute before Madelyn Blake added an insurance goal in the 60th as the Huskies, despite being outshot 16-6 (7-4 shots on goal), held on for a 2-0 win over the Warriors. Izzy Hoffeditz made seven saves in the victory.
- Olivia Thompson leads Bloomsburg in scoring with three goals and two assists for eight points, while Anika Krasnai had two goals and two assists for six points of her own. In goal, Hoffeditz is 6-3-0 with a 1.06 goals-against average and 26 saves with a hand in three shutouts, including her second solo shutout of the year against ESU on Wednesday.
- West Chester improved to 27-19-7 against Bloomsburg with a 1-0 win at the Huskies earlier this season. West Chester is 7-2-1 in the last 10 matchups, including wins in each of the last two meetings. The Golden Rams are also 20-11-1 against the Huskies at home, including a 1-0 win on Rockwell last season, and have not lost to Bloomsburg at home since October 2021. In the first meeting earlier this season, Adriana Ryder (Hamilton, N.J./Steinert) provided the offense with a goal in the 49th minute, and Keen made five saves to help this tally stand up in a 1-0 win over the Huskies.
