Kendall Fortune (Jarrettsville, Md./North Harford) added five to lead 10th-ranked West Chester to a 23-7 victory over visiting Bloomsburg on a sunny, but very cold and windy afternoon at Vonnie Gros Field Saturday.
West Chester (8-2, 4-1 PSAC East) saw nine different players score a goal as it rebounded from a mid-week loss to East Stroudsburg in impressive fashion. Bloomsburg (2-7, 1-4) dropped its third straight conference tilt.
Madeline Edinger (Perkasie, Pa./Pennridge) scored three goals and assisted on another while
Avery Roberts (Mantua, N.J./Clearview Regional) scored twice and notched one assist for a four-point day.
Marissa Herring (Landenberg, Pa./Kennett Square) also scored a pair of goals for the Golden Rams.
Bloomsburg was led by MaryKate Sitko, who scored twice and assisted on two others. Emily Simpson also scored twice.
All three goalkeepers for West Chester saw action.
Morgan Koons (Mountain Top, Pa./Crestwood) made two saves in the first half to pick up her eighth win in the cage.
Korrigan Sweeney (Pottstown, Pa./Owen J. Roberts) made the majority of the second half while freshman
Karyna Gonzalez (Parsippany, N.J./Morris Catholic) played the final five minutes making one save.
Bloomsburg played two keepers. Starter Emily Graham made 10 saves while Natalie Drake did not make a save.
West Chester heads to Shippensburg next Wednesday for a PSAC showdown with the Raiders.
