WEST CHESTER, PA – Members of West Chester University's women's track & field squad took part in Friday's Last Chance Meet inside Farrell Stadium.
Three first-place finishes highlighted the women's efforts on the track.
Katja Larsen (Spring City, Pa./Owen J. Roberts) won the 100-meter in 12.36 seconds while
Aliah Contreras (Reading, Pa./Wyomissing) won the 100m hurdles and placed fourth in the 200m.
Kristina Tapia (Ridley Park, Pa./Ridley) won the 1500m in a time of 4 minutes, 51.58 seconds.
Jessalyn Welsh (Enola, Pa./East Pennsboro) was right behind her in 4:56.92.
Megan Werner (Bristol, Pa. Conwell Egan) was fourth for West Chester with a personal best time of 5:04.93.
Genevieve McDonald (Elizabethtown, Pa./Elizabethtown) placed second in the 400m with a personal best time of 58.99 seconds.
Kayla Lockburner (Hillsborough, N.J./Hillsborough) enjoyed a nice meet by finishing second in the javelin with a mark of 104-feet, 09 inches and placing fourth by putting the shot 30-3 ¾
Alyson Vogt (Southampton, Pa./William Tennent) was runner-up in the shot put with a mark of 34-5 ½ that serves as her season best. She also placed fourth in the javelin by throwing it 85-11 while finishing fifth in the hammer (120-06).
Kendall Thompson (West Chester, Pa./West Chester East) put the shot 33-10 to finish third.
