BLOOMSBURG, Pa.- After its season opener at Jefferson on Thursday was postponed due to inclement weather, the sixth-ranked West Chester University women's soccer team (0-0-0) will now open its season and PSAC East play on Saturday afternoon at Bloomsburg (0-0-0) beginning at 3 p.m.

Five Things to Know
- After its season opener at Jefferson, scheduled for Thursday, was postponed due to inclement weather, West Chester will now get both its season and PSAC East play underway on Saturday at Bloomsburg beginning at 3 p.m. This will be the first time since 2021 that the Golden Rams' first game also serves as their season opener.
- Bloomsburg will also open its 2026 season on Saturday, but unlike the Golden Rams, Saturday will be their first scheduled game of the regular season.
- Led by the return of the 2025 PSAC East Player of the Year, Kianna Barber (Browns Mills, N.J./BCIT), who tallied 13 goals, including an NCAA Tournament hat trick vs West Virginia State last year, to go along with five assists for 31 points, West Chester was picked as the preseason favorite to repeat as PSAC East Regular Season Champions in 2026. Senior captain Grace Keen (Lincoln University, Pa./Avon Grove) returns in goal for her fourth season as the starting keeper after playing to a record of 16-3-4 with a 0.70 goals-against average in her junior season.
- Headlined by the return of Anika Krasnai, who scored two goals and added three assists last season, Bloomsburg was picked to finish third in the PSAC East preseason poll.
- Today's game is the middle game of a scheduled three-game road trip for West Chester. The Golden Rams will finish their road swing on Wednesday with a visit to East Stroudsburg for a 7 p.m. start before returning home to host Lackawanna on September 5 beginning at 12 p.m.
