Five Things to Know
- West Chester heads into play on Wednesday night following a 1-0 win at Bloomsburg on Saturday afternoon in its season and PSAC East opener after the original season opener at Jefferson on Thursday was postponed due to inclement weather. Adriana Ryder (Hamilton, N.J./Steinert) scored the game-winning goal in the 49th minute, and Grace Keen (Lincoln University, Pa./Avon Grove) made five saves for her 43rd career victory and 29th career shutout, both of which are good for third in team history.
- With the result on Saturday, Keen moved into solo third all-time in career wins and into a tie for third in shutouts, matching Ryan Levine's 29 from 2000-03.
- East Stroudsburg enters play on Wednesday following a 2-1 victory over Millersville on Saturday afternoon in Eiler-Martin Stadium for first-year head coach Tayler Jamison's first career victory. Jade Wiley and Alexis McRoberts provided the offense for ESU in the win as they each scored a goal on two of the Warriors' six shots on goal. Ava Perrone was shown a yellow card early in the win but finished her season debut with 10 saves to help Jamison earn her first career victory.
- If the name Tayler Jamison sounds familiar, it should. Before spending the last five seasons as an assistant coach at Division III Misericordia, Jamison was a three-year letter winner as a midfielder and forward for the Golden Rams under head coach Betty Ann Kempf Townsley.
- West Chester is 36-14-6 all-time against East Stroudsburg after sweeping the season series last fall, including a 2-0 win in the season finale in Eiler-Martin Stadium, which lifted West Chester to its first outright PSAC East Regular Season title since 2022.
