Serving as home to WCU baseball since the mid-1980s, the stadium was dedicated to the late Dr. Neil A Serpico on September 17, 1989. Serpico was a professor of Physical Education at WCU, head baseball coach for 17 years, a member of the WCU Athletics Hall of Fame, the Maine Baseball Hall of Fame and the Biddeford High School Hall of Fame. The dimensions of the stadium are 325 down the left-field line, 320 down the right-field line, 375 in the power alley and 405 out to centerfield. The natural grass facility includes a scoreboard, bleacher seating, a pair of dugouts, two bullpens and a storage barn with batting cages located outside the playing area behind the first-base dugout The Stadium area is equip with bleachers that seat up to 1,000 and new batting cages that were added in 2014. The stadium is home to West Chester’s nationally renowned baseball program, which has won a pair of national championships.
