Guide to D2L - Tutorial & Videos

This guide to WCU D2L was created based on feedback that student-athletes had some questions navigating the D2L software students use to access courses and classwork.  This tutorial includes broken down instructions and videos about getting started in D2L, setting up Notifications, submitting Assignments, participating in Discussions, and taking Quizzes.

SAS Newsletter - Quarantine Edition 2

The Second Edition of the 2019-20 Quarantine Newsletters includes Career Development tips for writing resumes and articulating how your athletic experiences translate in Life After Athletics, Personal Wellness resources about the importance of SLEEP along with additional NCAA Mental Health resources, helpful hints for what to look for with Nutrition Facts, and finally some academic information to make sure you're on the right track to succeed in the classroom and compete on the field.

The First Edition of the 2019-20 Quarantine Newsletters includes Mental Health modules, tutorials and other resources, Nutrition information concerning building a Performance Plate, Grocery Shopping & Healthy Snacking, and a Strength & Conditioning section with exercises and tips provided by Coach Packer!


SAS Spring Newsletter - Volume 1

The First Volume of the 2020 Spring Newsletter Series was an introduction to the virtual reality students faced beginning in the Spring 2020 and continue to Face as the 2020 Fall semester rolls along.  This Newsletter covered Daily Strategies provided by the NCAA along with helpful hints for the student-athletes to consider as the new, virtual semester began.


Golden Rams in the Community - Fall 2019

The staple of our Golden Ram mindset has been to demonstrate Excellence in Competition, Excellence in the Classroom, and Excellence in the Community.  This Newsletter celebrates the tremendous community service and volunteer hours our student-athletes have given and the many organization our team's partner with to make a difference in other people's lives.  We've seen historic success in competition but continue to excel in academics and community involvement.


Day in the Life of a Student-Athlete

We followed around Senior Women's Lacrosse Attacker Tara Morrissey around for a day to show people what it truly means to be a student-athlete.
From waking up in the morning, heading to work, attending class, having a bite to eat and getting to practice, Tara is an exemplary student-athlete in everything she puts her mind to.
