In a world with many distance power players, I always find myself admiring Paavo Nurmi the most. In a time with no super spikes, no scientific research to back proper training, and no special surface tracks, Paavo Nurmi was stunning the running scene with multiple world records and a string of undefeated performances. His determination and grit inspires me.
Favorite pre-meet snack:
My favorite pre-meet snack is the always reliable Shmucker’s
Uncrustable
Sandwich. Simple in design and complex in flavor, the Uncrustable
delivers 320 calories in the form of creamy peanut butter, grape jelly, and wheat bread. It’s tasty, quick, and packs enough energy for a good performance.
