Madison Melvin begins her second season on the West Chester softball staff after completing her stellar career wearing the Purple and Gold in 2024.

During her time as a Golden Ram, Melvin helped West Chester hoist two PSAC Tournament Championships and the 2021 Atlantic Regional Championship Trophy. The speedy outfielder also finished her career first in WCU and PSAC history in hits (343), runs (244), and stolen bases (171). Melvin was a four-time All-PSAC East selection and a four-time NFCA All-Region honoree. She earned NFCA All-America and the NFCA/New Balance Golden Shoe Award in 2022 before earning D2CCA All-America honors and a place on the NFCA Player of the Year Watchlist in 2023.

The Tabernacle, New Jersey native, who starred for the Golden Rams from 2020-24 and shared the field with younger sister Hailey from 2022-24, was also recognized as a PSAC 75^th Anniversary honoree as the PSAC honored the 75 Greatest Female Athletes in league history during the Fall 2025 semester.
