Todd Garber enters his third year as a volunteer assistant at West Chester under head coach Diane Lokey. Garber, who has been a longtime coach at all levels of the baseball and softball world in Southeastern Pennsylvania, came to West Chester with 10 years of head coaching experience at the travel softball level, coaching with the Spooky Nook Sports Academy. During his time with the Nook, Garber coached several Championship teams, including the 2018 Triple Crown 18U National Champions at Myrtle Beach and captured three ASA/USA PA State Titles.
In addition to his coaching duties at the Nook, Garber spent six years as the softball coaching director and player development coordinator in addition to spending four years as the skipper of the Berks/Lancaster County Carpenter Cup Softball team. Garber helped his team capture the Championship in both 2016 and 2017, leading the team against some of the top high school softball players in the Pennsylvania, Delaware, and New Jersey area.
During the summer of 2022, Todd was also an assistant coach the Bradenton Pioneers in the Florida Gulf Coast League.Prior to his softball coaching career, Garber spent 20 years as a high school baseball coach, including 15 years as head coach at Lampeter-Strasburg high school where he helped guide the Pioneers to a pair of Pennsylvania State Championships.
Garber, who was a four-year standout at Millersville University, achieving All-Region and All-Conference honors throughout his time with the Marauders also spent two years coaching college baseball at Millersville and Franklin & Marshall. Todd is the father of two-time All American Bri Garber who holds the WCU and PSAC career hitting records in addition to his two other daughters, Hanna and Julz who have both played at the University of Delaware. Todd has his Bachelor and Master’s degrees from Millersville University and is currently a high school tech educational teacher at Lampeter Strasburg High School in Lancaster, Pa.
