Biography
Coming off an MVP performance at the PSAC Tournament in 2013, the West Chester native, moves into her senior year with 34 career victories in between the pipes for the Golden Rams. Henderson gave up in 2013, allowing less than eight goals a contest. The Golden Rams graduated its top four goal scorers and have an extremely young squad in 2014, but with Henderson’s experience in big games and knack for coming up with the big save in the key situations, West Chester looks to make a return trip to the NCAA after a one year hiatus. Henderson backstopped the Golden Rams into the NCAA Championship game in 2012.
2013: Appeared in 19 games and made 18 starts…registered 14 wins against four losses…faced 235 shots on goal and allowed 128 goals for a save percentage of .455 and a goals against average of 7.66…picked up 27 ground balls and caused two turnovers…was chosen as Tournament MVP after making nine saves and stopping a free position with less than 20 seconds remaining to lead West Chester to the PSAC Tournament Championship over No.6 and tournament host Lock Haven…registered 11 saves in a 7-6 semifinal victory over No. 12 Indiana, Pa….
2012: Appeared in and started all 20 games…registered 16 wins against four losses…faced 325 shots on goal and allowed 179 goals for a save percentage of .449 and a goals against average of 9.21…picked up 28 ground balls and caused one turnover…backstopped the Golden Rams to the NCAA Championship game against No. 5 C.W. Post in Louisville, Ky, mad 11 saves in the 17-16 defeat…recorded a ten save performance in the 17-10 semifinal victory over No. 3 Rollins…made six saves in the 11-7 quarterfinal victory over 4 No. Limestone…stopped 12 shots in a 15-12 win over No. 1 Lemoyne…made a season high 13 stops in a 14-13 loss to Bloomsburg.
2011: Appeared in 15 games without making a start…registered 4 victories without a loss…faced 113 shots on goal and allowed 55 goals for a save percentage of .513 and a goals against average of 7.61…picked up 16 ground balls and caused one turnover…picked her first career victory 13-9 over Slippery Rock…recorded her second win 9-8 over Bloomsburg two days later…was credited with the victory in regular season finale in a 15-11 win over No. 9 Rollins.
