Colin Leak was elevated to the position of Director of Men's and Women's Track & Field and Cross Country in August 2023 following one year as the coordinator of the cross country program at the school.
In his first season on South Campus, Leak helped three runners achieve all-league honors while both the men's and women's cross country teams were recognized for their work in the classroom by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA). Bella Marchini finished seventh at the 2022 PSAC Championships, earning first-team All-PSAC honors as a result. She was also recognized individually by the USTFCCCA on the all-academic team, along with teammate Hallie Weaver. On the men's side, both Amir Cubbage and Philip Smith were individually recognized for their academic status while the men's squad earned a spot on the team list.
Both the men and women's cross country teams finished 11th in their respective PSAC Championship meets. The women placed 15th at the NCAA Atlantic Regional while the men placed 16th overall.
The former Team USA distance standout and University of Michigan volunteer coach will be responsible for overseeing the entire track and field and cross country programs for both the men and women in his new, expanded role with the Golden Rams. A native of Unionville, Pa., Leak represented the USA at the 2011 NACAC Cross Country Championships where he placed third. He also was on the 2011 Izumo Ekiden team.

At the collegiate level, Leak was an NCAA All-American as part of The College of William & Mary’s four NCAA Championship teams that finished fifth, eighth, 15th and 16th.

He holds a personal record of 13 minutes, 53 seconds in the 5,000 meters and 2:14:44 in the marathon, qualifying for 2020 Tokyo Olympic Trials.

Leak holds a master's degree in Strength & Conditioning from the University East London and has traveled and competed across Europe and Africa. He is currently the elite coordinator for the Philadelphia Distance Run, Philadelphia Marathon and Broad Street Run, and manages the Philadelphia Runner and trains private post-collegiate athletes in the Glen Mills area.
He graduated from William & Mary in 2010 with a bachelor's degree in Kinesiology and a minor in religious studies.
