The junior captured the crown in the Shot Put, and placed fifth with a new school record in the Weight Throw over the weekend at the PSAC Indoor Track and Field Championships at Bucknell University.

Owens put the shot 43 feet, 3 ¼ inches to place first overall and win her first conference crown on Sunday.

On Saturday, she finished fifth in the weight throw with a school record throw of 51 feet 8 1/2 inches, surpassing the record she had set a week ago.

Owens accounted for 14 of West Chester's 33 points in the meet.
