After Saturday’s impressive 17 victory over host Indiana, Pa., Brandon Monk was selected as the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference Eastern Division Offensive Player of the Week for the second consecutive week.
The junior running back was the go to player, finding the end zone in three different ways.
Monk opened the game with a 7-yard touchdown run, and then caught a 13-yard TD pass from Sean McCartney.
In addition, Monk showcased his talents on special teams by returning a punt from 80 yards out for a score.
Overall, Monk totaled up 200 all-purpose yards to lead West Chester to its first win at IUP since 1941.
On the season, Monk has 187 carries for 1,149 yards and nine touchdowns.
West Chester (10-1) earned the No. 4 seed in the NCAA II Playoffs and will host No. 5 Slippery Rock at John A. Farrell Stadium on Saturday, Nov. 22 at 12 p.m.
