Ralph Casper (York, Pa./York Suburban) made history this week as he became the first Golden Ram since 1987 to earn a spot in the NCAA Division II Indoor Track and Field Championships competing in the shot put. The last Golden Ram to earn his place in the Championships for this event was eventual Super Bowl Champion Ralph Tamm who made the trip to Fargo, N.D. back in 1987. Casper was also named All-Region by the USTFCCCA later in the week in both shot put and weight throw after strong performances in the PSAC Indoor Championships.
