Keri Barnett (Glenolden, Pa./Archbishop Carroll) had an outstanding week for West Chester, contributing  a team-best 15 points and 16 draw controls along with four ground balls and three caused turnovers on the week. Barnett began her week against Shepherd on Tuesday afternoon with a historic double-double performance as she scored five goals and added six assists for a career-high 11 points while also coming away with 10 draw controls in a 21-3 victory over Shepherd. Barnett is believed to be the first Golden Ram in team history to register a double-double and score the most points by a Golden Ram in a single-game this season. Barnett’s 11-point performance falls just one-point shy of matching Tatum Altman’s 12-point effort vs Kutztown in April 2021, which is tied for the fourth best effort in single-game history. The freshman also tied Jaclyn Frank of Seton Hill for the most points by a PSAC player in a single game so far this season. Barnett’s 10 draw controls was also the most by a Golden Ram in a single game since Maggie Stella registered 13 in a March 2019 victory over East Stroudsburg. Barnett also registered a pair of ground balls and one caused turnover to further help West Chester control possession throughout much of the game on Tuesday afternoon. On Saturday at Bloomsburg, Barnett turned in another stellar effort, scoring three goals and adding one assist while also coming away with draw controls, two ground balls, and causing two more turnovers. Barnett’s three-goal effort extends her streak of multi-goal games as she has now scored two more goals in each of her last 10 games, scoring three or more in nine of those 10 games.
