Over the weekend against Strouds, the third baseman hit two home runs and knocked in four RBIs as the Golden Rams went on to beat the Warriors 2-1 in the first game and 11-3 in the second. Altenburger’s home run was crucial in the first game as she would open the scoring with a two-run bomb in the fourth, which would turn out to be the deciding game.

Then in the second, she was at it again launching her fifth home run of the season to begin a seven-run fifth to lead West Chester to victory via the mercy rule. The Golden Rams were clutching to a one-run lead (4-3) where Altenburger provided some insurance with another two-run bomb on the first pitch with two outs, giving her team their twentieth win.

The junior provided a double against the Red Raiders, but the Golden Rams could not handle Shippensburg as they would get swept 7-1 and 6-3 for their first conference double-header loss. She now leads the team with five home runs and  is third on the team with 18 RBIs.
