Majesta Valentine (Wilmington, Del.) helped lead West Chester to a third-place finish at the UPenn Quadrangular Sunday afternoon. Her 9.8 on the vault is one of the reasons why West Chester set a school record in the event with a score of 48.675. Valentine's 9.8 on the balance beam was good for a third-place showing while her all-around score of 39.250 was second behind Penn State's Briannah Tsang, who posted a 39.425. Additionally, she posted a team-high 9.825 in the bars. On Wednesday, she finished fourth in the all-around with a 39.075 at the Maryland Five meet. Valentine tied for first on the floor exercise by registering a 9.85. The Delaware native also excelled in the vault (9.7), bars (9.75), and balance beam (9.775).Â
