Sr. F Mia Hopkins (Pittston, Pa./Pittson) performed well this past week as she averaged 17.5 points per game, 7.5 rebounds per game, and six assists per game. Hopkins also contributed an impressive five steals per game over the course of two Golden Ram victories this past week. She also shot an impressive 65.2 percent from the field and 40 percent from deep. Hopkins dominated against Cheyney on Saturday afternoon as she recorded a triple-double with 22 points, 13 rebounds, and 12 assists. Hopkins also recorded eight steals which is the most in a single game by a West Chester player since 2009 and is just one shy of the single game program record. From the field Hopkins was almost lights out on Saturday afternoon as she shot 10-13 (76.9 %) to help lead West Chester to a 98-63 victory over Cheyney. She is also the first Golden Ram to record a triple-double in 17 years as the last Golden Ram to accomplish this feat was Amy Buda back in 2001. She is also the first Golden Ram to record a triple-double in a PSAC game. Mia is also the PSAC player to record a triple-double this season and the 12th player in NCAA Division II.  Hopkins also performed well on Thursday night against Mansfield as she recorded 13 points and came away with a pair of steals. The two victories this week allowed West Chester to extend its winning streak to 14 games which is the longest since 1971-72 when the Golden Rams won 16 in a row under legendary coach Carol Eckman.
