Jr., (13-2) Amanda Houck (Gap, Pa./Pequea Valley) was simply perfect, starting the week with a five-inning perfect game in the opener against Wilmington. It was the first time since 2006 that a West Chester pitcher threw a perfect game. She was not done yet, tossing a no-hitter on Sunday against Philadelphia University. Houck accumulated a 4-0 record over the course of 25.1 innings. The left-handed pitcher held opponents to only 13 hits, while surrendering four runs (two earned). She managed to register a miniscule 0.08 ERA and an impressive 21/1 strikeout to walk ratio. Against Wilmington, Houck first threw a perfect game and proceed to start game two. She threw 7.1 innings, allowing one earned run on seven hits and teammate Brooke Harner came on in relief to get the win. In a doubleheader against Chowan University on Saturday, she pitched in both games and notched a pair of wins. Houck came on in relief in game one, throwing the sixth and seventh, yielding one hit and striking out two. Houck scattered five hits over five innings, allowing one run in game two. The junior struck out five and did not walk a batter.
