Doug Goitia (Mount Pocono, Pa./Pocono Mountain East) had another exceptional week this past week scoring one goal while also adding a pair of assists to help West Chester go 2-0 on the week. Goitia began his week on Wednesday night at Millersville scoring the game-winning goal with just 19 seconds left in regulation to lift West Chester to a thrilling 2-1 come from behind victory over the Marauders. This goal was Goitia’s team-leading sixth goal of the season and it was also his sixth tally in four games and the second game in a row in which he has scored. Goitia added another two points to his already strong week on Saturday afternoon in West Chester’s 4-0 win over Cal as he provided two perfect assists (one to Brett Miller and one to Nick Jachwak, which gave West Chester a commanding 3-0 lead. Thanks to Goitia’s three game point streak is now 7-2-2 overall and 4-1-1 in PSAC play keeping the Golden Rams well within striking distance in the last month of the regular season. Goitia also now leads the team with 14 points thanks to a new career-high six goals and two assists.
