Pettit earned a gold medal in two events as West Chester won the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference Championship for the 22nd consecutive season.

Pettit won the gold in the 1,650-yard freestyle with a 15 minute, 45.07 second time. He also placed first in the 500-yard freestyle with a 4:41.25 mark.
