In his first season as the West Chester University Womens Soccer head coach, Gerry Lucy has been named the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference Coach of the Year in the Eastern Division.
As the head coach of the Golden Rams, Lucey led his squad to a perfect regular season, their first ever PSAC Championship, and a trip to the Division II National Semifinals. The Rams ended their season with a record of 23-1, a mark that sets the record for wins in a season.
Lucey arrived at WCU from the University of Tampa where he had served as the assistant womens coach since 2004. He owns a USSF A Coaching License - the highest level available in the United States - and played professionally for seven years in the New York Metropolitan Area.
