CHEYNEY, Pa. - West Chester secured a home playoff game with its 3-0 sweep of cross-town rival Cheyney Tuesday night inside Cope Hall. The Golden Rams cannot finish any lower than second place in the league standings.
West Chester (21-6, 9-1 PSAC East) kept pace with division leader Lock Haven, who is undefeated in league play. Cheyney (0-14, 0-11) is still in search of its first win of the 2008 slate.
Lisa Yeasted posted three aces and 13 assists in the 25-3, 25-7, 25-7 rout of the Wolves. Ashley Focht registered four kills, along with Yeasted and Lacie Becher. Jacqueline Vivanco had five digs and four aces for the Golden Rams.
West Chester will be back in action again Wednesday evening when they travel to Lincoln University for a 7 p.m., non-league tilt with the Lions.
