Box Score

MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. - Nick Spisak went 5-for-6 with a double and three runs scored to lead No. 20 West Chester past Felician, 8-1, at the Ripken Experience in Myrtle Beach late Saturday night.

West Chester (3-0) scored four runs in the top of the first inning and never let Felician get on track as the Golden Rams finished up its southern trip undefeated.

Blair Dameron was 2-for-2 with two RBI, and Bob Stumpo knocked in two runs during that four-run first to lead the Rams' offensive charge. Kyle Bechter was 3-for-3 with a run scored. Drew Pare and Charlie Kelly also produced RBIs for West Chester.

The Golden Rams jumped out to a 6-0 lead after three innings, tacking on a run each in the second and third innings. Felician scored its run in the bottom of the sixth, but West Chester scored a run in the top of the seventh and top of the ninth to close out the victory.

Bret Moyer (1-0) threw four strong innings in his West Chester debut, striking out five and yielding just one hit without walking a batter. Eric Carmichael pitched three innings in relief, giving up one run on three hits and striking out six. James Rundatz tossed the final two innings, allowing one hit and striking out three.

West Chester returns home where it will wait and see what field conditions are like for its two scheduled road contests at La Salle and Penn during the week. The Golden Rams are also scheduled to make their first home appearance on Saturday, weather and field conditions permitting.
