EAST STROUDSBURG, Pa. - West Chester University opened up its PSAC schedule with a 3-2 victory on the road over East Stroudsburg Tuesday evening. The Golden Rams traded sets with the Warriors winning the match 25-15, 18-25, 25-23, 22-25 and 15-12.
West Chester (5-0, 1-0 PSAC East) opened up its league slate in convincing fashion, proving it can win a tight match that goes the distance. East Stroudsburg (3-2, 0-1) stretched the Rams past three games for the first time this season. WCU swept its way through the Wilmington Tournament over the weekend with four 3-0 victories. The Warriors split their four matches at the same tournament.
West Chester returns to action this weekend at the Millersville Tournament. The Rams take on the host Marauders at 4 p.m. on Friday in the first of three matches.
