PHILADELPHIA, Pa. – West Chester University women’s volleyball team downed host Holy Family, 3-1, in a non-conference match on Saturday at the Campus Center.
Holy Family is now 5-9 overall, while West Chester improves to 12-2. The Golden Rams are now 2-0 against the Tigers this season. West Chester won the previous meeting on September 12, 3-0, at Hollinger Field House.
The set scores of the match were 25-19, 25-15, 9-25, 25-18. West Chester increased its current winning streak to six straight matches, taking 18 of 20 sets in the process.
The Rams offense came from outside hitters Michelle Powers and Megan Musselman with 15 and 10 kills, respectively. Setters Lisa Yeasted and Kellie Brumbaugh both hit double-figures in assists. Yeasted, despite missing the entire third set with an injury, led the way with 25, while Brumbaugh had 10. Libero Lisa Campbell provided the defense with a match-high 22 digs.
