WEST CHESTER, Pa. - PSAC cross-town rivals West Chester University and Cheyney University collide Thursday night at John A. Farrell Stadium in a conference showdown for bragging rights in Southeastern Pennsylvania.
With playoff hopes all but dashed for West Chester (4-4, 3-2 PSAC East), the Golden Rams welcome neighbor Cheyney (0-8, 0-5) to Farrell Stadium for an evening contest that was originally scheduled for Cheyney on Oct. 24.
West Chester is coming off a disappointing 24-19 setback at Shippensburg last Saturday that ruined the Rams' hopes at reaching the NCAA II playoffs for a sixth straight year. Cheyney is coming off a 28-6 loss to Bloomsburg in an encouraging effort that saw the Wolves trailing just 14-6 at halftime.
