Wilmington Shuts Out West Chester, 3-0

WILMINGTON, Del.
- West Chester University was blanked, 3-0, in a non-league men's soccer match Thursday afternoon. 

West Chester (3-6-2) was coming off a 3-1 win over Shippensburg earlier in the week while Wilmington )12-2) continued its hot streak and its dominance over the PSAC. The Wildcats have beaten both Millersville and East Stroudsburg this fall as well. 

Freshman goalkeeper Garrett Bleiler suffered his first college loss, making two saves and allowing two goals in 57 minutes of action. Peter Weiss relieved Bleiler and made one save and allowed one goal the rest of the way.

Wilmington's Ethan Kavanagh registered six saves in the shutout.

The Wildcats received goals from three different scorers, drawing first blood six minutes in by Chris Sims. Sargbah Tarpeh doubled the advantage in the 49th minute, before Nickalus McDonald, who finished with a goal and an assist, put the game away with a tally in the 79th minute.

West Chester is back in action on Saturday at 1 p.m. when they travel to Slippery Rock for a PSAC crossover match.
