Game Notes
WEST CHESTER, Pa. - West Chester University welcomes PSAC East rival Kutztown to Farrell Stadium on Saturday night for "Family Night" at the stadium. The Golden Rams put their 17-game regular-season conference win streak on the line against the Golden Bears, who have not beaten West Chester since 2003.
West Chester (2-2, 1-0 PSAC East) is coming off a 63-10 drubbing at Millersville last Saturday while Kutztown (2-2, 0-1) is coming off a loss to No. 4 Bloomsburg a week ago. The Bears are expected to be starting a freshman at quarterback, Kevin Morton, against WCU's nationally ranked defense.
Before Saturday night's affair, West Chester University's football team will be taking park in the "Walk Now For Autism" event in Philadelphia that ends up at Citizen's Bank Park. The Golden Rams participated in this very worthy cause a year ago prior to its contest with Millersville, and it was a rousing success.
During the football game on Saturday, West Chester University's athletic department will unveil its new "Golden Rams Go Green" initiative to help collect recyclable bottles and cans. The cheerleading squad and band members will help collect these recyclables at the end of the first and third quarters and at the conclusion of the game.
