Volleyball Splits Two Matches At East Stroudsburg Saturday

EAST STROUDSBURG, Pa. - West Chester University split its two matches Saturday, winning its PSAC tilt with host East Stroudsburg, 3-1, before dropping a non-league match against Bridgeport, 3-0.

West Chester fought back after losing the first set against East Stroudsburg to take the match 19-25, 25-19, 25-22, 25-20. The Golden Rams were swept by the Purple Knights 25-9, 25-17, 25-14.

Michelle Powers was one of three players in double figures in kills against ESU. She had 10, along with Lexi Kegerise. Samantha Ingersoll led the team with 11. Helen Fitzpatrick collected 38 assists and four digs. Kyra Yost led the Rams with 12 digs while Nora Jingeleski had 11.

In the nightcap, Powers registered a team-high nine kills. Fitzpatrick posted 20 assists and nine digs. Lisa Campbell led the team with 19 digs.
