LINCOLN UNIVERSITY, Pa. – Ashley Focht recorded a team-high 10 kills while Helen Fitzpatrick registered 28 assists to lead West Chester, ranked ninth in the latest NCAA Atlantic Region polls, to a 3-0 sweep over Lincoln on the road.
West Chester (19-9) won by scores of 25-5, 25-14, 25-15.
Michelle Powers contributed seven kills in the win. Allison Grammer and Alyssa Brown each contributed six kills as well. Dylan Keil had five kills.
Lisa Campbell led the Golden Rams with 12 digs. Kyra Yost had seven digs.
West Chester has a week off before hosting Lock Haven next Friday night at 7 p.m. in a critical PSAC East showdown. The Golden Rams are chasing Lock Haven, Kutztown and Shippensburg in the league standings heading into the stretch run of the 2010 season.
