KUTZTOWN, Pa. - Host Kutztown scored 35 unanswered points on the strength of five touchdown passes from quarterback Kevin Morton to pull away from West Chester, leading No. 15 Kutztown to a 45-23 victory over the Golden Rams Saturday night.
West Chester is now 3-6 overall and 3-3 in the PSAC East.
Dan DePalma caught nine passes for 181 yards and two TDs in the loss. WCU quarterback Mike Mattei went 15-for-29 for 275 yards, two TDs and threw one interception.
West Chester led 23-10 after a pair of TD catches from DePalma and a 1-yard QB sneak from Mattei in the third quarter. However, Kutztown scored five straight touchdowns the rest of the way to complete the comeback.
West Chester returns home for its final home game of the 2010 season against Millersville at John A. Farrell Stadium on Saturday, Nov. 6.
