KUTZTOWN, Pa. – West Chester’s men’s tennis squad dropped a 9-0 decision to host Kutztown Wednesday afternoon on the road in the PSAC East opener for the Golden Rams.
West Chester (3-5) saw Michael Sim extend his opponent to three sets at No. 6 singles, and No. 1 singles Jeff Rightnour was very competitive with one of the conference’s top individuals. However, the Rams could not steal a win on the men’s side.
Sim fell to Darren Kraut, 6-2, 5-7, 14-12, in a spectacular match. Rightnour lost to Kaushik Das, 6-2, 6-4 in straight sets.
The Golden Rams return home on Thursday for a non-league match with Gloucester Community College.
