BLOOMSBURG, Pa.- The West Chester University men's tennis team returned to action on Sunday morning at the Burt Reese Tennis Center in Bloomsburg for the second day of the 2026 ITA Atlantic Regional Championships. The Golden Rams returned to the court on Sunday morning for singles action, and
Alessandro Melotti (Hollywood, FL./NSU University School) punched his ticket to the "B" draw semifinals on Monday to headline the Golden Rams.
In the main draw,
Francisco Moreno fell to Noah Liedtke of Fairmont State by a 6-4, 6-3 final, while
Thomaz Joly (Indaiatuba, Brazil/Colegio SABER) fell to Kensei Konishi of Charleston by a 6-2, 6-2 final.
JP Beirana Guzman (Morelia, Mx./Universidad Internacional Jefferson) also fell in the main draw with a 6-2, 6-1 loss to Gabriel Masu of Fairmont State.
In the "B" draw,
Ashton Bunch (Kingwood, Tx./iUniversity Prep) and
Zack Bull (Southwater, Great Britain/The Forest School) were forced to retire due to injury, while Melotti punched his ticket to the Monday semifinals with a 6-2, 6-2 victory over Fran Hernandez Olmo of Bloomsburg.
