EAST STROUDSBURG, Pa. – Alan Day picked up the lone win of the afternoon in three sets at No. 4 singles, but host East Stroudsburg was too much for visiting West Chester en route to an 8-1 win in a PSAC East men’s tennis matchup.
West Chester (6-9, 0-4 PSAC East) has now dropped three of its last four matches. East Stroudsburg (4-9, 1-3) put an end to its eight-match losing streak in the process.
Day downed his opponent, Mark Covert, by scores of 7-6 (6-2), 4-6, 1-0 (11-9).
East Stroudsburg swept the doubles competition and took the other five singles matches to claim the victory.
West Chester hosts Lincoln on Wednesday at 3 p.m. on South Campus.
