WEST CHESTER, Pa. - Shannon Givens scored 22 points and Carl Johnson added 13 off the bench, but it was not enough for homestanding West Chester to overcome visiting East Stroudsburg by a score of 82-69 Saturday afternoon.
West Chester (10-4, 1-1 PSAC East) dropped its first conference tilt of the year to East Stroudsburg (9-5, 2-0), who remained unbeaten in two league games.
The Golden Rams came as close as six points with 6:04 left in the contest. But that was as close as the hosts would get the rest of the way as East Stroudsburg went on a 24-17 run to end the game.
West Chester will host Kutztown on Wednesday at Hollinger Field House. Tip-off is set for 8 p.m.
