Day Two Meet Results
BALTIMORE, Md. – West Chester’s men’s swimming squad fell to host Johns Hopkins, 199.5-131.5, but rebounded to defeat The College of New Jersey, 179-152, in a tri-meet held at Newton White Natatorium on the campus of Johns Hopkins University Saturday afternoon.
Ryan Stahley won the 50-yard freestyle with a time of 21.98 seconds, and Brendan Magarity won the 200 backstroke in 1:56.65 to pace West Chester’s effort. Bud McClernan also won the 200 breaststroke with a time of 2:11.35.
Kenny McCormick placed second in both the 200 Individual Medley and the 200 butterfly. Calvin Starosta finished third in the 200 backstroke behind McClernan’s first-place effort with a time of 2:01.49.
West Chester returns home next Friday and Saturday when the Golden Rams host Southern Connecticut State University at Graham Natatorium.
