LOCK HAVEN, PA - West Chester University freshman swimmer
Will Rees (York, Pa./Home Schooled), was named the men's swimming athlete of the week in the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference Tuesday afternoon. He is the second Golden Rams swimmer to take home that award in as many weeks.
Will Rees won two individual events and helped the 200 medley relay to another first-place showing during the Golden Rams' dual meet win over Bloomsburg last Saturday. Rees posted a time of 56.91 seconds in the 100-yard breaststroke and a 1 minute, 53.89 seconds in the 200 individual medley. Both were season bests for the freshman. Those times are also the best in the PSAC in those events so far this season.
West Chester will be back in the pool on Saturday against Salisbury on Senior Day at Graham Natatroium's pool.
