West Chester’s Till Schroeder Takes Home First Conference AOW This Year

LOCK HAVEN, PA – West Chester University junior sprint freestyle swimmer, Till Schroeder (Weisbaden, Germany), was named the Men's Swimming Athlete of the Week by the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) in its initial weekly award presentation for 2026-27.

Schroeder won two individual events and helped one relay to a first-place showing as West Chester University upset the Division III national runner-up from a year ago in New York University. Schroeder's hand in three wins catapulted the Golden Rams to their first win over NYU since 2016.

Schroeder took first place in the 50-yard freestyle (21.07 seconds) and the 100 free (46.61) while swimming a leg of the 400 medley relay that touched the wall first in 3 minutes, 22.62 seconds. Schroeder also won the 50 free in a tri-meet on Sept. 26 against Southern Connecticut State and the University of Bridgeport. He was second in the 100 free in that tri-meet as well, giving him three individual first-place efforts and one relay first place showing so far this season.

West Chester is back in the pool this Friday evening when Bloomsburg comes to Graham Natatorium for a 5 p.m. dual meet with the Golden Rams.
