KUTZTOWN, Pa. - Lexi Kegerise registered 15 kills, but host Kutztown University swept visiting West Chester, 3-0, in a pivotal PSAC Eastern Division showdown between the two rivals.
West Chester (15-10, 5-7 PSAC) fell farther behind Kutztown (19-6, 8-5) in a battle for second place in the divisional standings.
The Golden Rams hit just .092 and recorded a .000 hitting percentage in the second of the three sets. That included 23 hitting errors, which also included eight blocks by Kutztown. The Golden Bears downed their visitors 25-21, 25-15, 25-20 to take the match.
Mary Faust put up the first double-double of her career with 20 digs and 14 assists. She led the Golden Rams in both categories. Though, Helen Fitzpatrick did match her 14 assists. Morgan Litek added 13 digs and Dana Markol 10.
