WEST CHESTER, Pa. - David Goldenberg won his singles match and then teamed up with Steve Hlava to win at second doubles, but visiting Chestnut Hill bested host West Chester, 6-3, Saturday morning on South Campus.
Goldenberg was a come-from-behind 1-6, 6-4, 10-8 winner at fourth singles. J.J. Cooke came away with the Rams' only other win at singles, a 6-1, 6-2 triumph at sixth singles. Goldenberg and Hlava were 8-6 winners at second doubles for the only other point.
Chestnut Hill claimed two out of the three doubles to take an early lead and then won the top three singles matches in straight sets to earn the necessary five points.
Hlava pushed his opponent at fifth singles to a third set, eventually losing.
