WEST CHESTER, Pa. - Jared Haley was a double-winner in the distance events while Ryan Kuser won both diving board competitions, but visiting Division I foe Lehigh scored a 135.5-105.5 victory over host West Chester inside Graham Natatorium in a non-league men’s swimming & diving meet Friday night.
Haley won both the 1000 freestyle (9 minutes, 45.31 seconds) and the 500 free (4:46.30). Teammate Tommy Rhoads won the 200 free in 1:45.91 and placed third behind Haley in the 500 free. Meanwhile Ryan Stahley won the 100 free in 47.34 seconds. They were the only first-place finishers in the pool.
Kuser captured the 1-meter springboard diving competition up in Hollinger Field House in the diving well with a score of 304.6. He won the 3m competition with 293.6 points.
West Chester returns to Graham Natatorium pool on Friday, Oct. 28 when they swim against PSAC rival Bloomsburg at 5 p.m.
