SHIPPENSBURG, Pa. - West Chester dropped a heartbreaking PSAC volleyball match at Shippensburg, 3-0, inside Heiges Field House Friday night.
The Golden Rams (16-11, 5-8 PSAC East) played each game close, losing 25-20, 25-21, 25-21. However, the visitors could not overcome 24 hitting errors and Shippensburg's nine blocks defensively. The Rams hit just .085 as opposed to the Raiders' .213.
Lexi Kegerise led West Chester with 11 kills and hit .214 for the match. Helen Fitzpatrick had 18 assists, and Lisa Campbell notched 20 digs. Mary Faust contributed 10 assists to go along with five kills. Julie Boblits recorded six kills.
West Chester continues its road swing on Saturday at Millersville in another big PSAC matchup.
