KUTZTOWN, Pa. - West Chester University's women's volleyball team dropped a 3-1 decision to Edinboro University in the first game of a PSAC crossover weekend schedule inside Keystone Arena in Kutztown Friday afternoon.
West Chester (13-8, 4-5 PSAC) has now dropped two straight, after rattling off six consecutive wins. The Golden Rams will take on Gannon University Friday night in its next crossover match. The Golden Rams started out strong against Edinboro (15-4, 7-2), winning the opening set, 25-21. However, the Fighting Scots battled back to three straight wins, 25-16, 25-22 and 25-23.
Julie Boblits led West Chester with 14 kills while Lexi Kegerise chipped in 10. Lisa Campbell led the Rams with 25 digs, and Helen Fitzpatrick had 23 assists. Kelly Martin sent back four blocks as West Chester collected seven blocks as a team. The Golden Rams hit just .129 for the match.
