Box Score

WEST CHESTER, Pa.
- Nicole Fiorilla scored twice, and Alisha Moran added a goal and an assist to lead second-ranked West Chester University to a 5-2 victory over visiting East Stroudsburg in a PSAC East field hockey contest inside Vonnie Gros Field Tuesday.

West Chester (7-1, 3-1 PSAC East) scored three goals in the second half to pull away from a stingy East Stroudsburg (2-7, 0-4) squad that had twice cut a two-goal lead to one, before the Golden Rams took control.

Leah Angstadt's fifth goal of the season 36 seconds into the second half sparked a three-goal flurry over the first five minutes of the second half, but also restored West Chester's two-goal lead to 3-1. The Golden Rams had taken a 2-1 advantage into halftime on a pair of first-half goals from Nicole Fiorilla, her team-leading seventh and eighth tallies on the year.

East Stroudsburg's Lauren Ventrella's second goal of the afternoon made it a 3-2 game three minutes into the second half.

However, Alisha Moran and Michele Schrift each added tallies later in the half to put the game away.

West Chester hosts Mansfield on Friday at 3 p.m. at Vonnie Gros Field.
