KUTZTOWN, Pa. - Corey Blake led West Chester with 16 points. However, host Kutztown ran away from the visiting Golden Rams, 87-69, in the PSAC East men's basketball opener for both schools inside Keystone Arena Wednesday evening.
West Chester (6-7, 3-6 PSAC) dropped its third straight contest while Kutztown improved to 8-5 overall and 5-4 in conference play.
Blake, who has led West Chester in scoring over the last six games, poured in 16 points for the Golden Rams. Lance McDowell scored 15 points and grabbed nine rebounds. Harley Williamson also pulled down nine boards. Carl Johnson registered 13 points while Jaleel Mack added 12.
West Chester was without starting point guard Jon Breeden for the contest.
The Golden Rams continue their road swing on Saturday at Millersville. Tip-off is at 3 p.m.
