LOCK HAVEN, Pa. - West Chester University's second-ranked women's soccer squad came up short in a 3-2 upset loss to unranked Lock Haven Saturday afternoon inside Hubert Jack Stadium.
West Chester (11-1-1, 8-1-1 PSAC) falls into a three-way tie for first place while watching its 12-game unbeaten streak to start the year come to an end. Lock Haven (6-3-4, 3-3-4) climbed back into the postseason conversation with the upset win.
Erica Schrock and Brianna Hires each scored off a corner kick for the Golden Rams. The Lady Eagles led 2-1 at halftime and just held on by trading goals after the break.
Shannon Fedyk (11-1-1) did not register a save in the loss.
West Chester travels to East Stroudsburg on Oct. 16 for a 6:30 p.m. match with the Warriors.
