KUTZTOWN, Pa. - West Chester University's women's volleyball squad dropped a five-set match to Kutztown University on Tuesday evening inside Keystone Arena. The Golden Rams fell by scores of 22-25, 25-21, 25-19, 16-25 and 19-17.
West Chester (11-13, 2-8 PSAC) has now lost three straight and four of its last five contests while Kutztown (9-14, 1-9) picked up its first conference win of the season.
Lexi Kegerise led the way offensively with 17 kills and also contributed 20 digs. Mary Faust posted a triple-double with 10 kills, 26 assists and 17 digs. Dana Markol had 18 digs, and Tori Hutchinson contributed 11 digs and 20 assists.
The Golden Rams won the first set, however, dropped the next two sets to fall behind, 2-1. Following a convincing 25-16 win in the fourth set, West Chester battled Kutztown to the end before falling 19-17 in the final set.
West Chester hosts Cheyney at 7 p.m. inside Hollinger Field House Friday evening.
