WEST CHESTER, Pa. - West Chester University's men's tennis squad shut out visiting Bloomfield, 9-0, in a non-league match Thursday afternoon on South Campus.
West Chester (6-7) swept the doubles competition by scores of 8-1, 8-1, 8-0 and then swept the singles competition's in straight sets. Cody Leimback's 6-1, 6-0 win at sixth singles was the match clincher for the Golden Rams.
Andrew Peterson was a 6-2, 6-2 winner at first singles, David Goldenberg was a 6-1, 6-0 winner at second singles and Steve Hlava was a 6-0, 6-0 winner at third singles. J.J. Cooke was a 6-2, 6-0 winner at fourth singles and Luan Kichen was a 6-2, 6-0 winner at fifth singles.
Leimback and Peterson teamed up at first doubles, Jimmy Aridas and Connor Dunn teamed up at second doubles while Hlava and Goldenberg won at third doubles.
